11 Tips For Your Next Glow Girl Vacation in Greece — Martina Fink

I can’t even begin to describe how good it felt to get away from home and escape for a bit from “work from home life during a pandemic”.

Whenever I travel, I like to choose places that are in alignment with my values and my high design standards, and I usually spend quite some time researching until I find a place I really like.⁣

I spent last week at Cretan Malia Park in Crete, Greece, and loved everything from the design (see photos below!), the beach, the sunsets, the amazing Greek and Italian food to the fresh juices and variety of 10+ fruits for breakfast. They even grow their own veggies in the garden - as a gardener myself, of course this makes me very happy.⁣

Here are my top tips for staying at this place

Wakeup at 7 am to go to the beach and watch the sunrise. If you’re someone like me who likes to move your body first thing in the morning, workout at the beach.
On your way to the beach, pickup a flower from the floor and put it in your hair.
Bring your journal, a candle and some white sage and sit in the cozy couch from the Beach Shack. Nobody is there and nobody will watch you do your spiritual rituals ;)
Have breakfast at 10 am, when most people have already left. Especially now with the pandemic and wearing masks it’s nicer when it’s a bit more quiet. Every day, I asked for all sliced fruits and the variety was 10+, which I LOVED!
Make sure you stay in the shade, especially from 12-4pm.
Head to the Yoga area, play some beautiful music and meditate or do some intuitive movement dancing.
Go for an afternoon swim around 5pm and stay at the beach.
Get a cold chocolate with soy milk from the Beach Shack and enjoy it with a biodegradable straw (unfortunately, I forgot to bring my own this time!)
Walk up and down the beach while the sun sets - spectacular views!
Get ready for dinner at one of their à la carte restaurants - Greek or Italian and order your favorite dish.
Head to the Beach Shack for a glass of Rosé with a candle and your journal, or sit on the couch and stargaze while you hear the waves crashing on the beach.
