Trusting Yourself Through a Crisis

This photo is from NYC in October of 2019, just a few days before I moved out of the place I had called home and worked in for 4 years, the place I thought was my foundation.⁣

I had hope about life again, but it was still difficult. I knew life wasn’t punishing me, but it was still kinda hard to trust.⁣ I didn’t know how it would feel to live alone again after so many year. Not that I have a problem with being alone at all. I love my time alone.⁣

But there was going to be a void that I wasn’t sure how to fill.⁣ So I trusted.⁣ Trusted that everything was happening for me.⁣ Trusted that I was supported and that things were going to work out for my highest good.

Crisis mode? Triple your self-care

I practiced so much self-love and really nurtured myself 100x more than I had ever done before.⁣ When we have low moments, the only way out is through. We can’t avoid them, we have to embrace them.⁣

It’s still a challenging time in the world right now. We don’t know what will happen in a month from now, and when we will be able to move again freely, get back to work, travel, and meet with our friends. ⁣

Can you love yourself regardless?

But we can’t avoid it. We have to embrace the situation as it is right now. Trust that this is happening for us, and love ourselves no matter what.⁣

If you’d love to have a bit more connection with yourself, allow your feelings to come up and process, even if it’s more comfortable to avoid them right now, get started with the free self-care guide for perfectionists below. And yes, please bring your bestie along, so you can have a girls chat after going through the guide together!⁣
